Corrugated Board Pin Adhesion Test Fixtures

Our Corrugated Board Pin Adhesion Test Fixture is a precision-engineered accessory essential for quantifying the structural integrity of corrugated cardboard. Specifically, designed to perform the standardized Pin Adhesion Test, this fixture accurately measures the bond strength between the fluted medium and the linerboards in both single-wall and double-wall corrugated board.
As a result, this critical quality control procedure is a fundamental method for ensuring packaging durability. Ultimately, by using this fixture, manufacturers can verify adhesive quality, optimize production processes, and prevent box failure under load.
Test Procedure Overview
- Sample Preparation: A rectangle specimen of corrugated board is cut.
- Loading: The pins on the upper and lower assemblies are carefully inserted into the flutes of the corrugated medium.
- Testing: The tensile tester or paper crush tester separates the jig at a constant speed. The force required to separate the liners from the corrugated medium is measured in Newtons per meter (N/m) or pounds-force per inch width (lbf/in).
- Result: The maximum force recorded is the Pin Adhesion Value, a direct indicator of glue bond strength.
